Scott Cecil graduated from the University of Florida’s (UF) Warrington College of Business with an EMBA degree.

Prior to serving as president of the Tampa Gator Club (TGC), he oversaw the TGC scholarship program as VP of Academics for two years. Over the past three years, he has focused on increasing the number of scholarships awarded by the club and raising the value of each scholarship.

In addition, Scott serves on UF’s Parents Philanthropic Council, supporting UF’s Honors College, ROTC Program, and UF Health. He is a football season ticket holder and Gator Booster.

Scott has always been an active participant in his community. Prior to assisting the UF Alumni Association, he was president of the Tulane University Alumni Chapter in Tampa for three years. Scott is a former Army Reserve sergeant with the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion - Airborne, Fort Dix, NJ. 

Scott currently runs a private investment fund. He is an avid biker, golfer, and snowboarder.  Scott resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife of twenty-five years, three children (one a current Gator – and chemistry major), and their dog, Goldie.
